Prologue Summary

Del Packard is at the Body Time gym, working out with his eye on winning the Marvel's Gym competition. Del came in second last year, and has been working every second available to be ready for the upcoming contest.

Del unlocks the door and lets his spotter in so that he can continue working out safely. The two discuss the competition, and Del comments that his girlfriend, Lindy, is not happy about him working out so much or shaving all of his body hair. The spotter laughs while Del continues to chatter, remarking that he is proud to represent the town in the competition. Del is the only entry from Shakespeare, though Marshall Sedaka, the gym owner had tried to convince Lily Bard to enter in the women's category.
