The focal point of this story centers on finding an Elder of the Celtic Otherworld. It's a non-human race that walks around this world looking just as humans do. No one would know they were not human unless they performed a DNA test on them. The Elder in question does not even know she's an Elder, because her parents died when she was a baby and she was raised in the system, passed from foster home to foster home.

A DNA lab is secretly hired to test DNA to find out if it's simply human or not human. Since Gwen is police officer turned private investigator she notices that bodies come up missing from the morgue, random hair pulling during crimes starts happening, and purse snatchings are rampant. The end result is.....
