Gwen Gellman

Gwen Gellman is the main character in the story. She is a thirty-four year old private investigator. She is slim and good looking with short auburn hair, and only looks to be about seventeen or eighteen years old. When she was a child, there was a burglary in her house. Her parents caught the burglar by surprise and were murdered. Gwen spent the rest of her life in the system, passed between foster homes. Later, she ends up in juvenile hall. She just can't seem to get her life straight.

She straightens her life out and becomes a cop. For fifteen years she served on the force. Her first partner was Frank Cross, who she learned a lot from. In her fifteenth year on the force she's sent undercover to investigate a club owned by.....
