Chapter 22 Summary

The next morning Gwen is woken up by someone banging on her door. She gets out of bed wearing the same jeans and shirt she had put on the previous night to go see Wallace. There's a tall thin man at her door with an envelope from Frank addressed to her. After a minute, she recognizes the man as George, one of Frank's informants. George tells Gwen that Frank paid him twenty dollars to deliver the envelope to her days ago, but he spent the twenty on booze and lost track of time. He asks her if she's going to tell Frank what he did. George is also being sponsored by Frank at the local AA.

She starts to question him about the night Frank gave him the envelope. George wonders why all the questions, but tells her it was close to midnight...
