Chapter 13 Summary

The next morning Gwen drives to Cody's office. She is met with resistance from his secretary, who tells her Cody doesn't want to see her. Gwen's not giving up that easily, so she mentions the Perroti murder. The secretary goes into Cody's office and comes out a few minutes later, telling Gwen that he will see her in fifteen minutes. While the secretary is in Cody's office, Gwen is able to plug the flash drive into the back of her computer. A few minutes later Gwen is invited into Cody's office and he tells her to stop lying to his wife. She asks what he's talking about. He produces a missing person report that he says was filed with the police department. Gwen looks it over and asks if she can keep it......
