Chapter 7 Summary

Gwen meets Marcy for french fries and chicken fingers to discuss matters of her case and everything else personal. Gwen tells Marcy of her new job and Marcy jokingly asks if she can come and watch her dance. Marcy truly is attracted to Gwen, but she knows Gwen is not homosexual. Gwen originally helped Marcy through the divorce from her abusive husband. After counseling, Marcy came to the realization that she really preferred woman as lovers.

They finish their fast food and leave the restaurant. There is a young black man sitting on his car, and when the ladies pass by him, he jumps up and walks toward them. Gwen readies herself in a defensive mode as the guy approaches. He removes his hood in the streetlight and she realizes he is Quaid's.....
