Chapter 4 Summary

Gwen arrives at Marcy's house later to pick up the paperwork on Mr. Cody. Marcy greets her at the door with a glass of fruity wine. Trudy Wasserman, Marcy's live-in lesbian lover, also greets Gwen as she enters their home. Gwen notices that Trudy's smile is not so sincere. She tends to be a bit jealous of Marcy.

Gwen notices that both women are dressed for a night out on the town and it's a weeknight. She guesses that they must be celebrating something, so on a hunch she congratulates Trudy. The smile on Trudy's face is enough for Gwen to know she hit the jackpot. It's their ten month anniversary. Gwen wants to see what Trudy has bought for Marcy. As Trudy nearly skips into the bedroom to retrieve her gift, Marcy.....
