Chapter 3 Summary

Gellman drives to Lauren's mother's house to deliver the bad news. She then has to give the news once again to Lauren's roommate. Quaid calls her a little later and asks that she come to the police department to make a statement. She is not happy about having to enter the police department after her departure months earlier. The officers do not think very highly of her and it shows on their faces when they see her. Some were very good friends to her before, but now they don't even give her the time of day.
