Chapter 18, Yerevan Summary

Dink accepts Graff's offer. On the flight back from Kiev, Bean holds two of the babies, while Petra holds one. They are on their way to visit Petra's parents. Petra's mother greets her with hugs and kisses and comments on how small the babies are. Bean thanks Petra's mom and dad for allowing them to use their apartment for the unofficial meeting. The Prime Minister, President and Foreign Minister arrive and Petra's mother takes the children into another room. Bean paints the big picture. The plan is to break Alai before his control grows stronger. After the meeting, when Petra's parents hear of the plan to go into space, Petra's mother says she will be dead by the time they return to earth.
