Formal Letter of Permission

In order for Grandpa to visit Aman at Yarl's Wood, he must write a formal letter seeking permission. After getting permission, he is able to visit with Aman on Wednesdays. Wednesday is the only day that Yarl’s Wood is open to adult members of the public.

Monopoly

Monopoly is Aman’s favorite game. It symbolizes his love of the West and friendship. Aman learns how to play Monopoly with Sergeant Brodie, thereafter coming to consider it his favorite game. Aman sees it as a bridging of two worlds, the establishing of friendship, and the promises of the West.

In England, Aman loves to play Monopoly with Matt. Aman always wins. In Yarl’s Wood, Aman wins a round with Grandpa. They find it amusing to be in jail playing a game in which players can go to jail.
