Summary

Charlotte arrives at the cathedral and meets Mordecai, an English baron. They engage in an unspoken contest of who’s family ties are the most impressive until Lucie arrives. The group grows to include the Ortiz sisters and a member of the Malaysian royal family, the Sultanah, for the trip to Positano.

In Chapter 9, the group sails to Positano on small speedboats and Lucie savors the feeling of being out on the open ocean as it reminds her of her father. They arrive at the villa where Mordecai gives the group a tour. Paloma Ortiz asks Lucie about her ancestry and family background because she thinks she is incredibly beautiful.
