Lawrence is on another march, this time with Nasir, one of Feisal's lieutenants, and the troops: this time they are marching to Akaba. Lawrence is impressed by Nasir and the others who are to represent Feisal to villagers in Syria. Feisal is paying for the trip and for any men that they hire.
