Mitch Rapp

Mitch Rapp is a 32-year-old known counter terrorist working for the CIA. At the beginning of the story, he is preparing to settle down with his girlfriend Anna Rielly. He promises her that he is going to retire from fieldwork and move into a position inside the company. Secretly, Mitch is unsure if his new role as a "desk jockey" will work. He thinks he will not be able to stand the boredom and tells his boss, Irene Kennedy, it will not take long before he loses his temper with one of his colleagues, and when that happens, everyone will regret he took the position.
