Chapters 41-45 Summary

Irene Kennedy appears in front of the committee, which Hank Clark is chairing. Clark asks Kennedy to respond to Rudin's accusations. His questions are quickly followed by a dozen more from around the room. However, Kennedy's mouth stays firmly shut. Finally, she tells the room that for reasons of national security, she cannot answer their questions. Senator Jetland shows her a picture of Mitch Rapp and asks if has ever worked for the CIA. Irene answer is the same. She says for reasons of national security, she cannot answer his question. Kennedy apologizes to the committee, but says she has to leave.
