Chapter 15, "Nest Building" Summary

It rains for most of the next week, and Mary spends her days with Colin. She begins to think about using the garden to lure Colin outside, although she is still careful not to let him know that she has already found it. The first morning that it does not rain she awakens early and rushes to spend the beautiful day in the garden. She hears a strange cawing when she gets to the garden door, and sees a crow sitting right there on the wall. She enters the garden as the crow flies to an apple tree, beneath which Dickon is already at work with a little red fox beside him.

Mary is so happy to see him she can barely catch.....
