Part 1: Chapter 2 Summary

Lucy Oliver is alone in her bedroom, trying to sleep. However, Lucy is afraid because she believes there is a woman in her room, threatening her. Lucy calls her mother at the laboratory where she works, but her mother becomes impatient and insists she go to sleep. Much later, when Meredith Oliver comes home, she finds Lucy asleep in the pillow lined bathtub.

Ross and Shelby watch Ethan ride his skateboard in the middle of the night. Ross and Shelby discuss ghosts. Ross tries to convince Shelby that they exist based on some of the things he witnessed as Curtis Warburton's assistant, but even a strange picture taken over a lake cannot convince Shelby completely. Ross then admits that he has decided to retire from the ghost hunting business.
