Chapter 56-62 Summary

In Chapter 56, Jesse meets with Blondie Martin and asks her if Harrison Darnell was angry or jealous when Florence Horvath sent him the tape of her. Blondie tells him that, on the contrary, Darnell loved the tape. She says that Darnell never ditched Florence for her, and that Florence had been on the boat with them in Paradise for a while during this trip; the tape had been mailed to Darnell when she left the Lady Jane to see her father, who had come to town unexpectedly. She remembers Darnell looking forward to watching the tape with Florence, and asking when she was due back, but she never returned.
