Chapter 29 Summary

Kaitlin heads over to Bram's house to attend a party. She and Bram dance together, and he introduces her to family and friends. Yet Rick also shows up, and betrays who Kaitlin really is. Bram doesn't believe Rick at first and he attempts to physically assault Rick. But Jack and other guests pull them apart.

Bram suddenly realizes that Kaitlin has been lying to him, and she tries to explain everything, but Bram will hear none of it. Bram storms off, and Allison sends Kaitlin home.

Chapter 29 Analysis

Kaitlin's exposing of Rick has serious consequences. Rick outs Kaitlin in front of the entire party at Bram's. The hatred that Bram and his family possess for the Malones appears to have trumped the love that Bram and Kaitlin shared.
