Chapter 12 Summary

Bram confesses he is in love with Kaitlin, and Kaitlin wonders how long she can continue lying to him. She also begins to realize she is losing her hatred for the Crutchfields because she is seeing them as human. She realizes that her existence as a Malone is based on her hatred of the Crutchfields.

Chapter 12 Analysis

Bram and Kaitlin confess their love for one another, deepening the trouble in which Kaitlin finds herself. Bram is in love with Kaitlin Hampton, spelling future disaster. While Kaitlin is softening toward the Crutchfields, Bram's hatred of Kaitlin and her family remains unchanged.
