Chapters 4-6 Summary

While waiting for the bus to take him home, Cap witnesses a fight between two boys. They call each other Butt wipe and Jerk face so when the teacher asks him what happened, he thinks those are their real names. The teacher thinks Cap is talking back and sends him to the headmaster's office. Luckily, he meets Mrs. Donnelly on the way. She has come to take him to the hospital to see his grandmother.

Rain is depressed. She admits to Cap that she should have prepared him better for the outside world, but Cap tells her that the outside world is every bit as bad as she told him. He has only been at the school a day and he has already witnessed violence. People even lock away their belongings to stop others from stealing them. What he says only...
