Chapter Four through Chapter Seven Summary

In Chapter Four, Rosemary notes that she is planning a party for Mibs' birthday. Mibs and her family know this is a bad idea, but say little. Bobbi is chastised for making fun of her mother as she is told she too will attend. When Mibs tries to dissuade Rosemary by noting she has no friends, Will reminds her he is her friend, and Rosemary points out she has contacts. Mibs recalls Rocket's thirteenth birthday. He and the other children had been helping Grandma Dollop bottle sound waves, since Grandma could pull sound waves out of the air that she enjoyed, such as her favorite songs, and could put them into jars. When one wanted to listen to a song then, they simply cracked the lid. That day, Rocket was carrying jars and felt ill...
