Summary

In Chapter 5, Henry says that he is needed at the hospital, but he does not say that it is because he is needed to operate on Baxter. In the wake of the traumatic events of the evening, Henry and the family express their love and support for each other. Just before Henry leaves, Rosalind speaks to him privately. Henry admits that he is leaving to operate on Baxter. To Henry’s surprise, Rosalind expresses her apparent fear that henry will take the opportunity to hurt of kill Baxter. Henry assures her that he will not. Rosalind then admits that she already knew about Daisy’s pregnancy. The father is a man named Giulio, whom Daisy met in Italy.
