Chapters 34-39 Summary

In chapter 34, Wolf goes home and tells Jane about Mark's death. Wolf explains that he is now concerned that anyone connected to him might be in danger, therefore he wants Jane and Sara to go home soon. After they leave, Wolf sits in the study with a gun. In chapter 35, Ed visits Barbara the day after Mark's murder. Ed asks Barbara more questions about Julia and then asks her to testify at Wolf's trial. Barbara reluctantly agrees. In chapter 36, Wolf spends a week at home. On New Year's Eve, Wolf gets a call from his business manager informing him that Julia has liquidated many of his bonds, stocks, and retirement accounts and stolen over three million dollars from him.
