Chapter Nine and Ten Summary

Ford receives a package the next morning from Sally Field, filled with information on the Sealife Development Corporation. In addition, the data on his associates Tomlinson and Jessica McClure are included as well as a biography of Mario DeArmand.

Ford goes to Hollins' funeral, where nine people show up, which is about what Ford expects, considering Hollins' former line of work and past relationships with women. Lester Durell and Harvey Hollins, Rafe's older brother, are two attendees. Ford drives along with Hollins' ashes in the car seat next to him. He is driving to meet the other guys at North Cut beach to throw Hollins' ashes in the water.
