Chapter Four Summary

Ford tries to reach a man named Harry Bernstein. He cannot reach him so he goes to the Marina and is reading a newspaper with MacKinley when he sees Hollins' obituary.

MacKinley figures out that Ford was once friends with Hollins and starts to tell him a little background about Sandy Key. In particular, he knows quite a bit about Mario DeArmand. Through MacKinley's knowledge, Ford learns more about the Sealife Corporation that essentially controls all of Sandy Key and their corporate developments. When Ford hints that someone should go to Sandy Key and poke around, MacKinley laughs at Ford, saying that he is not exactly the right person for the job.
