Chapter 15 Summary

Twenty miles later, Mark wakes up for a moment, locks the car doors, and goes back to sleep. He and Ben spend the night in a hotel room. Meanwhile, in 'Salem's Lot, vampires continue to turn their friends and family members into vampires.

The next day, Ben stops on the way back to 'Salem's Lot and buys a pick and a spade. In his room at Eva's, he burns his book manuscript and breaks the paperweight he grabbed from the Marsten House when he was a boy. He goes into the cellar and brings Jimmy's body out and takes it to the Petrie house. He digs a grave out behind the house, puts the bodies of Jimmy and Mark's parents into the grave, fills the grave in, and leaves town.
