Nora Rafferty

Nora Rafferty is Charlie’s wife and the mother of John, Bridget, and Brian. Nora is Theresa’s sister. Even though Nora is technically Patrick’s aunt, she raised Patrick, Theresa’s son, as her own. She never told anyone that Patrick was not her biological child.

Nora is characterized by her tendency to feel overly responsible. She is a fixer and often does not consider the effect that her decisions will have on her own life. When Nora’s mother died when Nora was a young girl, she told her daughter to take care of her younger brother and sister. Nora took her advice to heart and tried to raise Theresa as best she could even though she was not much older than her sister.
