Summary

Chapters 38 through 44

In Chapter 38, Jace continues to rail at Gabe, asking if he wants Mia to think this is what a real relationship is like and that his twisted desires are normal. Ash takes Mia into the bedroom and puts a robe on her, but all she wants to do is get back to Gabe, who is thinking that Jace is right because he has treated Mia wrong from the beginning. When she returns to the living room, Mia refuses to leave with Jace and Ash, but Gabe is cold toward her and tells her to leave because their relationship is over. Her protests get no response, so she leaves with Jace and Ash, telling Gabe that one day he will realize that letting her go was a mistake, but it will be too late.
