Chapters 6 through 10

In Chapter 6, Mia arrives at Gabe’s office and says she has decided to accept his proposal but she has a few conditions. She questions him about giving her to other men and he says he would never do anything she was absolutely uncomfortable with. When she asks about a safe word, he says “no” will be sufficient if she is truly frightened or uncomfortable. He also agrees that he will be faithful to her, and they agree that Jace must not know about the sexual part of their relationship. When Gabe says Caroline can cover with Jace, Mia is surprised he knows about her roommate and realizes he has been paying more attention to her than she realized. Feeling that perhaps she has gained a little power in the relationship, Mia signs the contract and hopes she will not live...
