Jack Reacher

Jack Reacher was an MP in the Army for thirteen years. After leaving the military, he spent the past three years on the road. A loner, Reacher has traveled extensively, going where he wants whenever the whim strikes him.

Circumstances have placed Reacher in New York, having inherited a house from his former commanding officer. He's started a relationship with Leon's daughter, Jodie. Being in one place for an extended period time is foreign to Reacher and he struggles internally to quell the feelings of wanderlust.

The FBI provides an outlet for Reacher by involving him in the investigation of a serial killer. Julia Lamarr has developed a profile, stating that the killer is a man just like Reacher, who is killing women who had been in the Army, had filed sexual harassment complaints, and then left the military.
