Chapter 27 Summary

Since Blake won't give him the FBI plane, Reacher and Harper drive to the D.C. airport. Without any money or credit cards between though, Reacher makes a call to John Trent to ask a favor—for him to fly them from Andrews Air Force base to Portland.

In the meantime, Rita Scimeca is starting her day out in Portland. The killer is getting into place to watch the shift change of the night FBI agent to the day local police officer. When Rita finds muddy footprints on the floor, she bans the police officer from using her bathroom anymore.
