Summary

Kenya awakens in Tip and Teddy’s light-filled bedroom and marvels at the room’s brightness and quiet, wondering how the Doyle house could be so different from her own apartment, which is dark and filled with the noise from the street and banging pipes. Upon remembering why she is there, she wishes she could turn back time by one day and be once again in her apartment with her mother. She goes downstairs and finds Tip on the couch. She struggles to converse with him until she sees the piano in the corner. She tells Tip she used to play, and Tip encourages her to play something, which she does.
