Part 3: Chapter 13 Summary

Molly finally wins a tuition scholarship at NYU and begins going to class during the day while working at night. Holly is not too pleased with this turn of events, but the two continue to see each other.

One night, while Molly and Holly are working, one of Holly's customers fondles her breast. Holly reacts by smashing the ice cream sundae she was about to serve him, into his face and then shoving him down the stairs. When the manager sees what she has done, he fires her. Holly grabs Molly's arm and says she is taking "her wife" with her, and the two leave.

They go to Molly's apartment, and Holly, uncomfortable in the dismal surroundings, tries to convince Molly to take Chrys up on her offer but Molly is adamant that.....
