Part 2: Chapter 10 Summary

That fall, Molly attends the University of Florida in Gainesville because the school offered her a full scholarship as well as room and board. Her roommate is a pre-med student by the name of Faye Raider. The two girls quickly form a bond and become friends. While Faye pledges a sorority to please her mother, Molly pledges a different one so that her campaign costs for student government will be covered.

Faye comes from a wealthy family and is very generous to Molly, even spending over $300 to add to Molly's wardrobe. Before long, however, Molly suspects Faye has a drinking problem; her grades fall and she begins to cut classes more frequently. Molly, on the other hand, gets by without much studying.
