Part 2: Chapter 9 Summary

Molly describes her senior year as a "victory." Because of their knowledge of Mr. Beers' affair with Mrs. Silver, Molly and Connie are given freedoms not normally given other students. Carolyn's status as cheerleading captain heightens their position within the school and all three date football players. While Molly and Connie regularly have sex with their boyfriends, Carolyn resists. Finally, she relents and the morning after, she calls Molly and asks her to meet for breakfast.

Carolyn says the experience was not at all what she expected, and Molly tells her that it is something she will get used to. As they leave the restaurant, they make plans to go drinking on Friday night.

Friday night arrives, and the two girls head to a children's park. Molly does not care to drink, so.....
