Cheryl Spiegelglass is a girl that lives on the other side of the woods. Her father is a used car salesman and so her family is better off financially than most of the other families in town. Cheryl is a girl who likes to wear dresses and engage in typical girl activities. While Carrie encourages Molly to play with Cheryl, Molly only does so occasionally, and when she does, Leroy usually tags along.
One day, as the three were playing nurse, Molly decides that she would rather be a doctor. Cheryl responds that only boys can be doctors, an answer that infuriates Molly. Molly has decided that she is going to be President one day, but does not want to share this goal with anyone. The two argue and Molly punches Cheryl.....
