Summary

Chapter 14, “Three for One,” returns to the current situation with Dodson and Isaiah going back to LA with Ken and Benny. Dodson drove. When they stopped at a gas station, Isaiah called Sarita who was happy to hear that everyone was okay and said they would celebrate. Isaiah said that he looked forward to the celebration. Dodson discovered that Tommy was holding Cherise hostage in exchange for Janine, Benny, and Ken. He decided to go through with the exchange without telling anyone about Cherise. Afterwards, Dodson continued to drive. He called Deronda and said that they would meet her.

When they arrived home, Isaiah dropped Dodson off. Dodson ran up to his apartment and saw signs that Cherise had fought with her abductors. He got his gun and left.

After dropping Dodson off, Isaiah went to meet Janine. She showed concern for Benny...
