Part 1, Hell: Chapters 55-61 Summary

Andi has taken too much of her antidepressant after seeing Virgil with another girl.

Andi sleeps most of Monday and then settles down to read more of Alex's diary. Alex wrote of the day the queen gave her the king's guitar to play for Louis-Charles. The queen signaled the turn of the key that will open a hidden compartment in the base of the guitar case. When Alex opened it later she found a picture of Louis-Charles and a bag of coins. Alex knew then she must choose between helping Louis-Charles or use the money to escape Paris.
