Chapters 37 and 38 Summary

Chapter 37. When Oliver returns to the table, they reveal to Lawrence that the Conclave is in town. This is news to Lawrence. He tells Schuyler and Oliver that Kingsley attacked the Repository previously on orders from the Regis, but has proven his loyalty to the Conclave since, which is why Lawrence trusts him. Lawrence also says the earthquake was caused by the demon, Leviathan, who is housed underground in Corcovado—placed there by Schuyler's mother. Lawrence had gone to see if Leviathan had broken free, but he is still in his prison and the missing Blue Bloods have been found. The three decide to go to the party to find out why the Elders are all in Rio.

Chapter 38. The Warden, Nan, comes into the hotel suite to take Jordan away. The discussion between Bliss's parents and the Warden confuses...
