Summary

This section includes the chapters titled “The Second Visit”, “A New-Year World”, and “An Addict in Dam Square” (167, 189, 205). The first chapter is told from Niloo’s first person perspective in London, 2001. She has arrived in London with her brother to visit her father for the second time since leaving Iran. Kian is 19, in college, and Niloo is 22 and recently graduated from Yale. The two arrive at the hotel and take a nap since Baba has not arrived yet. Later, they get in a fight, and their anger lingers throughout the trip.
