Uncle Dick's Healing Summary and Analysis
When Rees is given the choice to continue the hidden ministry or return to a more public spiritual life, Rees chooses to continue in hiding. Rees also answers the Lord's call to extreme fasting for the intercession of widows in India. During this challenging but successful intercession for the widows, Rees also receives a message from the Lord for the healing of his Uncle Dick, who is now an invalid. This becomes a test of faith, believing in what has not yet come to pass when Uncle Dick's health gets worse before it gets better. The Spirit warns Rees and his Uncle that prayers can be a sign of doubt. The Lord promises his uncle will be healed on Whitsunday and indeed, he is healed.
For Rees and Uncle Dick to believe in the healing that is to come, they must have faith beyond and through the health decline...
