G

Formerly known as Geryon (in Autobiography of Red), G is a sensitive half-human, half-monster with wings. He has become, since his previous appearance, a disillusioned pseudo-farmer who takes comfort in the quiet pastoral life, tending to his herd of musk oxen. G is still recovering from a turbulent romantic relationship with Sad But Great (previously called Herakles), who has recently returned traumatized from the war. Along the lines of the Greek myth, G was seen as a conquest for Sad (one of Herakles seven labors), and not a legitimate equal or partner. Their love, though real, was always one-sided and never fulfilling for G.

While his younger self might have been passionate about romance and adventure, G's older self is jaded, exhausted, and skeptical about the dangers of becoming emotionally involved with anyone, let alone the man who recently broke his heart. G is addicted to Sad in...
