Summary

In Book Five, "Barry, April 16, 2019," wakes up in the desert with Helena beside him. She explains he just jumped 33 years of memory. His memory timelines will merge as soon as the mass memory phenomenon occurs. She explains the terrifying events that occurred in the previous timeline. Barry begins recalling his old lives, how he met and fell for Helena, the life they made together, their determination to save the world.

He realizes they have attempted to rework the chair many times without successfully stopping Slade from unleashing the technology on the globe. Barry tells Helena he can now remember he has been in love with her for years. Soon after, they receive word that suicides are sweeping the world. Helena tells Barry she will have to relive her life again. She says he does not have to do it with her...
