Elliott cooks up a plan to help Isabel forget about Larry. He tells Mrs. Bradley that they should go to London for the rest of the season. There, they will meet more rich and important people, and Isabel can be introduced to young, rich men. To make the change of cities seem more reasonable, Elliott tells Mrs. Bradley that one of the top diabetes specialists lives in London, and it would benefit her to visit him.
