Chapter 8, Coverage Summary

Research doctors Maggie and Steve discuss Project Shiva. The weight and size of the microns containing the virus are such that they float and can be inhaled much as secondary smoke. The body breaks down the coating enabling the viral strands to go to work. Subject 4, Chester, is in deteriorating health and has only a week or two to live based on the Shiva antibodies found in his blood. Chester's case indicates that the epidemic will break out unevenly depending on the health of individuals. That will cause a run on the vaccines that Steve Berg is developing.
