Chapter Eighteen (Nelson) Summary

Nelson stays home from school one more day, trying to get in touch with Brick. He is shocked when every message he sends to Brick bounces back: Brick has blocked Nelson from his contacts. Nelson tries to call Shea, but she's mad at him. During the time he's been away from school, she's been desperately trying to get a hold of him but Nelson never called her back. Now, Shea reveals that Courtney has left her and she just wanted a friend to talk to. She accuses Nelson of being selfish and self-centered, and she ends their friendship.
