Summary

Lizzie returns during the second week of September. Soda broke it off with her after guests in the motel began to complain about the noises she made while sleepwalking. Lizzie is concerned about her sleepwalking, worried she might hurt herself or Elvis during her sleep. Per Vanessa’s recommendation, Elvis tries to keep Lizzie on a regular schedule. She wakes Lizzie up at the same time each morning, puts a toothbrush in her hand, and makes dinner at the same time each night.

The family travels to South Carolina for the annual Carpet Bazaar. They stay at a fancy hotel and only book one room. Elvis and Lizzie walk to the ocean.
