Chapters 11 through 13 Summary

In Chapter eleven, Ben is soon plunging toward the ground and fears she's going to crash. The castle is atop a hill and she manages to focus and begin to fly before she hits the ground. She is soon being fired on by the castle guards. She flies toward the mountain, Ancienne, and crashes into a boulder. When she wakes, she is very cold and the broom is broken. It's very cold and she knows she's going to be in trouble if she doesn't find shelter soon. She finds a cave and makes her way inside where she finds the body of her father. She discovers there are some words on the wall of the cave. One sentence reads, "Farewell, Sweet Ben," which makes her cry. There is another sentence that she believes reads, "Pursued Drachensbett."
