Part 4: Monday, Chapter 35, Bad Guys, Good Guys Summary

Catch and Rachel have Effrom, Amanda, and Jenny hostage in the caves. A bat flies by, unsettling Rachel, and she insists on moving them outside. Meanwhile, the party of good guys arrives. They have doubts about the plan because it is full of potential pitfalls, but they decide they must all move forward with it with confidence, as if they know it will work.

The plan goes into action. Travis finds the hostages already in the open and is able to hold up the incantations to be photographed. As he feared, Catch and Rachel will not let the hostages go before they know the incantation works. However, he falsely tells them the candlesticks cannot be nearby if the incantation is to work and gets them to place the candlesticks away near...
