Summary

The narrator is in her home but is incredibly disoriented. She does not know where she is in her home nor does she know how long she has been there. She looks around her house and recognizes her belongings but does not feel a connection to them. She realizes she can barely see and has no concept of time. Outside, she notices everything is wet; but she does not remember there being a rainstorm recently. The narrator decides to close the front door to her home because she does not know when or why it was opened in the first place. She admits to herself that she feels terrified. Shortly thereafter, she realizes she has felt terrified for years and wonders if that's how everyone lives. It is now dark outside. She takes out a pen and notebook and begins writing but...
